Hong Kong, not UK

Hong Kong, not UK

When I came to the Philippines, my initial plan was to stay as long as I could setting up a home and then go back to the UK for a week, then returning to the Philippines. This would allow me to enter under a new visa and stay in the Philippines while I continued setting up my business and eventually got my business visa.

However, a flight to the UK will cost around £2000 for myself and my girlfriend, but a weekend in Hong Kong will cost just £500 for us both. Plus, when I return to the Philippines from Hong Kong, I will be able to enter using my British passport which will give me a new visa.

At the moment, I simply can not afford the extra £1500 it would cost to fly to the UK, not to mention the spending money we would need for a week.

I will be flying back to the uk at some point, but just not yet. I am sorry for any disappointment, but god damn it it would take a whole day to get to the UK and you know how much I hate travelling anywhere!

iPod!

iPod!

Until today, I have been using my Sony Ericsson w800i mobile phone to play my mp3s when I’m on the move. The problem with the w800i is that the jack used to plug into the phone is a non standard jack. It sticks out the bottom of the phone and is prone to falling off, or lowering the sound quality. It’s a hell of a shame cause it’s such a nice phone.

I had recently been looking at 8gb iPod nanos, but after a lot of searching I decided to get a larger iPod second hand. I picked up a 30 GB 5th Generation iPod for £66 including postage. I’ve also bought some nice sony headphones to go with them. Who wants to use second hand headphones? I would put them straight in the bin!

I am now in the process of covering over all my favourite TV series such as American Dad, Clerks, Dilbert, Duckman, Family Guy, Futurama, Open All Hours and The Simpsons. Not to mention some select documentaries from my stash of over 500GB!
